Parks: Flat Rock Brook Nature Center is a 150-acre preserve and education center situated on the western slope of the Palisades in Englewood. Its purpose is to maintain and preserve the lands under its supervision as a natural sanctuary for plant and animal life in the urban area and as a natural environment available to the public for trail walks, nature study and other passive recreation. Overpeck Park is a park with some very attractive trails for hiking and mountain biking, there is also a bridle path and the park is handicapped-accessible.

Airports/Transportation: Newark Liberty International Airport is an international airport within the city limits of both Newark and Elizabeth, New Jersey, and is only about 21 miles from Englewood. Laguardia Airport is even closer to the Englewood area, only about 15 miles away. John F. Kennedy International Airport is also conveniently nearby, only 25 miles away. NJ Transit offers several public transportation options int he Englewood region. Rockland Coach bus transportation also makes commuting around the area quite convenient.

Elementary Schools: Donald A Quarles Elementary School serves grades PK-1 in the Englewood City School District. Their goal is for every child to reach his or her full academic, social and emotional potential in an atmosphere of collaboration, mutual respect and trust. Dr. John Grieco Elementary School boasts a committed staff that provides the children with enriched learning experiences which allow the students to achieve academic, emotional, and social success.

High Schools: Dwight Morrow High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Englewood and operating as part of the Englewood Public School District. The school also serves students from Englewood Cliffs, who attend as part of a sending/receiving relationship. The school has been accredited since 1928 by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Colleges/Universities: Fairleigh Dickinson University is a private university with several campuses located in New Jersey, Canada, and the United Kingdom. The closest campus to the Englewood region is the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneack, New Jersey.

AMC Loews Theatres - Ridgefield Park 12 is the best spot to catch a movie in the Englewood area.

Recreation: The Little Gym offers gymnastics classes for pre-schoolers and kindergartners. Or keep yourself fit at Bally Total Fitness or The Gym, which offers adult health and fitness training, as well as a spa. GolfTec is also nearby offering golf training and lessons.
