Parks: Horn Pond is a great place for walking and exploring, with or without the kids. Forest Park is another beautiful, wooded conservation area. Boardwalk Skate Shop and Indoor Park is the largest skate park in the area. The Dog Club is an indoor dog park facility. Also check out the Lexington-Concord Bike Trail.

Airports: General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport is located in the East Boston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. It has six runways and is the 19th busiest airport in the United States. Hanscom Field is a full-service general aviation airport and popular choice for business executives who want convenient access to Eastern Massachusetts and “America’s Technology Region” situated along the Route 128/95 and Route 495/3 corridors. Lawrence Municipal Airport is located in North Andover, MA, and is an important transportation resource, situated in the heart of Massachusetts' Merrimack Valley. For transportation by train around the Woburn area: Mishawum MBTA and Reading Train Station.

Elementary Schools: Clapp-Goodyear Elementary is located on Hudson Street, along the banks of Horn Pond and includes kindergarten through fifth grade. The Shamrock Elementary School building opened in 2002. It has a large population of pre-school students, houses the city's PDD/Autism program and also offers full-day kindergarten.
