Julie Smith
President, Bozzuto Management Company

As president of Bozzuto Management Company, Julie oversees a portfolio that includes approximately 30,000 units in more than 100 apartment communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions. She also plays a consulting role in the development of new communities both for Bozzuto and third-party owners, providing marketing and management guidance in the planning stages of new projects.

Under Julie’s leadership, the company has grown from an organization with 15 employees to one of more than 800, and has twice been named Property Management Firm of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  

Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The State University of New York at Oswego.  She is Chair of the National Multi Housing Council’s Property Management Committee, a member of the Board of Directors for Victory Housing, a nonprofit developer and operator of affordable housing for seniors and working families, and an adjunct professor in the University of Maryland’s Master’s of Real Estate Development Program.
 


   

Chad Cooley
Senior Vice President, Bozzuto Management Company

Since joining Bozzuto in 1997, Chad has served in a range of roles for the company, including positions in property management, information systems and asset management.  In his current role, he oversees property operations for 35 communities in suburban Maryland, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, working closely with owners and their representatives to ensure that the strategic goals set for their properties are achieved and asset values are maximized.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Chad is also actively involved in the Urban Land Institute, the American Institute of Architects and the Property Management Association.

 


   

Nancy Goldsmith
Senior Vice President, Bozzuto Management Company

As senior vice president, Nancy has been with Bozzuto Management since 1994 and manages a portfolio of Maryland properties in the Baltimore region as well as in Montgomery County.   She leads several regional portfolio managers, carefully monitoring their adherence to annual business plans and operating budgets.  Nancy works closely with third party property owners and their representatives to ensure that the financial and operating goals set for their properties within the Bozzuto portfolio are achieved.  Nancy also assists with new business development in a consulting role for both Bozzuto and third party owners for new communities in development. 

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  Nancy is a current board member for the Maryland Multi-Housing Association.

 


   

JoLynn Scotch
Senior Vice President, Bozzuto Management Company

JoLynn brings more than 20 years of experience in the property management industry to Bozzuto, including both third party and REIT experience.  As senior vice president, she manages a portfolio of communities throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.  She is responsible for several regional teams and ensures their adherence to established annual business plans and operating budgets, and works closely with third party clients to prepare and execute financial operating plans that maximize net operating income, creating value for the asset. 

JoLynn attended Fairmont College where she studied Business and Real Estate.  She is a member of the Property Management Association and is licensed by the Real Estate Commission in the District of Columbia.

 


   

Scott Skokan
Vice President, Bozzuto Management Company
Maintenance Services

In his role, Scott is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of more than 30,000 Bozzuto-managed apartments and several retail stores.  He also assists in-house groups and third party developers in the design process of new developments, and develops specifications and monitors all major capital improvement projects. 

In addition, Scott oversees annual bulk bidding of all major services in order to maintain low operational expenses; investigates, analyzes and recommends new ways of increasing revenue through water, sewer, cable and telephone services; and provides training to all maintenance employees to ensure growth and promotions within the company.

 


   

Lisa Williams
Vice President, Bozzuto Management Company
Software & Systems

Lisa has been with The Bozzuto Group for more than 20 years and serves as vice president of software and systems for the Bozzuto Management Company portfolio.  In her role, she maintains the property management software as well as the credit screening and various marketing software being used at the site level, working closely with regional teams to support their operating and budgetary goals.  Responsible for leading a team of software specialists, Lisa works to maintain consistent policies and procedures within the growing portfolio.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavior/Human Resources from The Johns Hopkins University.

Stephanie Williams
Vice President, Bozzuto Management Company
New Business Development

As vice president, new business development, Stephanie leads all new management, both in-house joint ventures and third-party assignments, and sources new fee-management business for the company.  She is focused on growing Bozzuto Management Company throughout the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas and in other emerging markets along the East Coast.

Stephanie joined Bozzuto in 2004 and previously served as development manager for Bozzuto Development Company, where she was responsible for expanding market-rate and mixed-income development opportunities, with a principal focus on growing the company’s affordable housing initiative.

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in Community and Environmental Planning from the University of Washington, Seattle and a master’s degree in Community Planning from The University of Maryland, College Park.  She is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute and American Planning Association.
